I was coming of age at 18, and my work was showing it in this Batman shot..

This was inspired by Neal Adams' cover for his "The Art of Neal Adams, Volume Two." I was 18.

This is an inked self-portrait done when I was 18 and working on "Tech Team" (my first comics story and art ever published, by Michigan Technological University). You can see the "MTU" logo on Techman's and Techwoman's chests. The character in the middle top is Synthetic Man, one of my own creations that I wrote and drew numerous comics stories about in high school. The little figures all over my hands are DC Comics characters.

A pencilled self-portrait I did at 18.

A pencilled and inked vampire drawing done in my freshman year of college, at age 18.

Next... 1979
